While you can use chalk on these, we recommend using a Fine Chalk Marker or Chalk Pen to give it a crisper appearance. The examples in the photos were done with a Fine Chalk Marker and did a great job. If you use one of those you can just wipe them off with a damp cloth and they will be like new again. Traditional chalk tends to leave an imprint that does not seem to fully come out when cleaned.

Some pieces may have minor imperfections, but have an overall acceptable appearance. Some have a little stray paint around the edges and may not have super crisp lines. SAVE BIG. Limited quantities available.

Listing is for a quantity of ONE of the 2"x 3" imitation chalk board sign with a short pieces of jute rope that comes unattached so you can tie to desired length. There are two holes. (1 at each of the top corners.) These are more of a black painted wood that looks like a chalkboard. You can write on them with a Chalk Marker, BUT THEY WILL NOT ERASE.

They do work great for a permanent label or sign.
